Description

The VA Meter is a professional, programmable high-precision power meter specifically engineered for accurate voltage and current measurements. This device is built around the M5StampS3 main control module, which offers WiFi capabilities. It incorporates dual INA226 current and voltage measurement circuits that deliver current detection resolutions of 2.5uA and 250uA, and supports measurement ranges from 0-5A and 5-24V (1-24V in isolation mode).

Power options for the VA Meter include a USB-C interface or Base terminal input, with built-in power and signal isolation to ensure accurate and reliable readings. Users can switch between isolated measurements powered via USB and non-isolated measurements powered directly, via a toggle switch, adapting to various usage scenarios. The included expansion BASE features relay on/off control and a Grove port to facilitate secondary development.

The meter also supports OTA firmware updates and USB MSC/OTG functionality, allowing for the editing and viewing of data and configuration files directly from a PC. Furthermore, M5 provides a free online data API interface, enabling the upload of test data to the EZData platform for easy remote access and analysis, which is particularly useful in simplifying IoT application development.
