The Arduino UNO Q represents a revolutionary leap in the evolution of the iconic UNO family. Designed to bridge the gap between microcontroller simplicity and powerful embedded Linux computing, the UNO Q combines a Qualcomm® quad-core processor with a high-efficiency STM32 microcontroller on a single board — all while retaining the classic UNO form factor that millions of makers know and love.

This hybrid architecture allows you to run Arduino sketches, Python scripts, and full Linux applications side-by-side, making it ideal for advanced IoT, robotics, AI, and automation projects that demand both real-time control and high-level computing.

Powerful Dual-Core Architecture

At its heart, the UNO Q features two processing units working in harmony:

  • Main Processor (MPU):
    Qualcomm® QRB2210, a 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 running up to 2.0 GHz, capable of running full Debian-based Linux. This allows you to execute modern software stacks, edge AI workloads, web servers, and data processing tasks — directly on the board.
  • Real-Time Microcontroller (MCU):
    STMicroelectronics STM32U585 (ARM Cortex-M33, 160 MHz), a secure and ultra-low-power microcontroller responsible for precise hardware control, timing, and direct interaction with sensors and actuators.

Together, these two chips create a dual-processor ecosystem that lets you combine the real-time responsiveness of microcontrollers with the computational power of a Linux system.

Connectivity and Expansion

The UNO Q comes fully equipped for modern connectivity and expansion:

  • Dual-band WiFi (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) and Bluetooth® 5.1
  • Gigabit-capable Ethernet via expansion
  • USB-C port for power, programming, and communication
  • Standard Arduino UNO headers for full compatibility with classic shields
  • Qwiic connector for easy integration with I²C sensors and modules
  • Debug port for advanced development workflows

You can prototype with familiar components or build scalable, connected systems that integrate cloud services, cameras, and AI models.

Storage and Memory

The UNO Q includes 2 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 16 GB eMMC storage, providing ample space for Linux applications, user data, and OTA updates.
Additional storage can be added via external devices through USB or networking.

Operating System & Software

The onboard Debian-based Linux OS runs seamlessly alongside the Arduino framework, providing developers with a hybrid environment.
You can run:

  • Arduino sketches on the STM32 microcontroller
  • Python and Linux applications on the Qualcomm processor
  • Arduino IDE 2, Visual Studio Code, or command-line tools for flexible development
