The SIM7600E LTE Cat-1 HAT for Raspberry Pi is a powerful communication and positioning module designed for Raspberry Pi systems in regions including Southeast Asia, West Asia, Europe and Africa. It is built around the SIMCom SIM7600E module and supports LTE Cat-1, 3G, 2G networks and GNSS (GPS/BeiDou/GLONASS/Galileo/QZSS).

Key features and capabilities

• Supports dial-up networking, voice calls, SMS, TCP/UDP data, DTMF, HTTP/FTP protocols – enabling a wide range of IoT and communication applications.
  

• GNSS positioning support: on-board receiver supports GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS, with high sensitivity, cold start < 35 s, hot start < 1 s.
  

• Region and band support: LTE Cat-1 (FDD: B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20; TDD: B38/B40/B41) for Europe/Southeast Asia/West Asia/Africa; 3G UMTS/HSPA+ B1/B5/B8; 2G GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800 MHz.

• Broad host compatibility: Designed to plug into the standard 40-pin GPIO header of Raspberry Pi series boards, making it compatible with Raspberry Pi 5, Raspberry Pi 4, Raspberry Pi 3, Zero 2 W etc.
  

• On-board interfaces & modules: USB interface for AT command testing and GPS data capture; CP2102 USB-to-UART converter for debugging; SIM card slot supporting 1.8 V/3 V SIM cards; TF card slot; audio jack and decoder for telephony use; LED indicators for status; voltage translator enabling operating IO at 3.3 V or 5 V via jumper.
  

• Operating conditions & dimensions: Operating voltage selectable 3.3 V/5 V; operating temperature −30 °C to +80 °C; storage temperature −45 °C to +90 °C. The module measures approximately 56.21 mm × 65.15 mm.
